Knowing facts about Jesus doesn’t make me a Christian , it makes me a fanboy or a stalker. What makes me a Christian is knowing Jesus personally.
I’ve talked with him, heard him speak to me through the Bible and sometimes in my heart or mind. I have a relationship with him. If you want a relationship with him, just ask him to come into your life.
Is this about making me follow religious rules? No.
If you think the point of marriage is rules, you’re missing out big time. The point is a relationship, and rules are one a way to protect the intimacy of it.
The gospel according to Sparrow:
If you believe that Jesus is the son of God who died in your place on the cross and rose again from the dead, then you should ask him to forgive you for your sins and dedicate your life to doing whatever he wants. He forgives your sin, leads you in your life, and invites you to the party. God is real, and knowing Jesus is the way to a real relationship with God.
As I read what I’ve written in this backblast, I know it’s not perfect, but I’d rather try to say the most important thing in the world and fail at it than to not try to say it at all.
“Dear God,
I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life.
