A friend of mine is going through a tough time in his marriage where his wife has become increasingly verbally and physically abusive towards him, culminating in him no longer feeling safe and calling the police. They’ve been through therapy over the past year but it has not been working out and a divorce is likely.
This is just a sober reminder to pursue your wife. Pursues her, build her up, and in general be intentional about ways in which you can foster an environment where your marriage can flourish. The success of your marriage does not ultimately 100% rest on your shoulders, but make sure you take the time to be a good steward of your marriage so that it is always directed towards success.
