Conditions: A lamplit 70-degree morning.

Warm-Up: Motivators / Tappy-Taps / calf stretch into runners stretch / T-Bone burpees / Arm Circles / lap around parking lot

Thang 1: partners start at lamppost at end of parking lot: one PAX farmer carries to next lamppost while other PAX does push-ups / coupons are set down and partner runs back to pick up other partner and they both run to coupons and continue from lamppost to lamppost around the loop to Hoffa

Thang 2: repeat Thang 1 rotation but farmer carry past one lamppost and drop coupons at the second lamppost while partner is doing burpees until partner comes back and they run back to the coupons to continue rotation

Thang 3: Redrum up Hoffa (murder bunny up / 10 blockees / rifle carry down)

The thang
PAX met at the base of the spa and split into two groups. One group navigated the small wheel like so:

  • Farmer carry two coupons up ramp
  • 15 back flys with two coupons at top of ramp
  • Farmer carry two coupons across to the top of the stairs
  • Set two coupons about 2-3 feet apart. Lateral hops or tires across coupons 15 times.
  • Rifle carry one coupon down to the base, run back up, rifle carry second coupon down

While the first group did the small wheel, the second group rotated through the following spittoons:

  • 100 no cheat merkins
  • 100 oblique v-ups (1 is 1)
  • 100 dive bombers
  • 100 4ct flutters

When the first group returned, that group performed the spittoon rotation while the second group did the small wheel. Each group was able to do the small wheel once until we relocated to another staircase because another workout group "was there first".

At the second staircase, the PAX performed the above routine one more time. We had time for one more similar routine:

  • Rifle carry coupon up, run back down, rifle carry second coupon up
  • 15 block squat thrusters
  • 15 double block derkins
  • Farmer carry back down

Spittoons:

  • 100 2ct plank jacks
  • 100 4ct mountain climbers
  • 100 2ct american hammers

PAX ended with a 150 rep burpee spittoon all together.

In this story, Israel is following God as the cloud as they navigate the wilderness. When the cloud moves, they moved. When the cloud stayed, they stayed. When Israel was waiting, God was with them. When we wait, we can know that we are not waiting for God to show up, as if he is not with us, but rather that God’s manifest presence is always with us. He is with us even in our waiting.

Thang: Parking lot 11s – 10 reps of exercise A and 1 rep of B, a lap around the lot, then 9 of A and 2 of B, another lap etc. We did three rounds:
1. Goblet toasts and 4 count American hammers
2. Derkins and 4 count side-straddle-hops
3. Lunge squats (2 is 1) and 4 count flutter kicks

Moleskine: Realize that there are probably many people in this world going through a lot more trials and tribulations than you, so keep a level headed perspective, try not to complain about trivial things, and be grateful for what you have.

Thang1: Extended WOR: In order, each PAX picks a warm-up exercise, then all run a lap around the parking lot. These included tin soldiers, imperial walkers, copperhead squats, and goofballs.
Thang2: Moving clockwise around the park, at each lamppost, each PAX in order picks an exercise in cadence for 10ish reps, and then mode of transport to the next lamppost. Many exercises were done including SSHs, LBCs, BBSUs, star jumps, jump squats, merkins, diamond merkins, American hammers, flutter kicks, planks, Freddie Mercurys, crunchy frogs, Abe Vigodas, mountain climbers, mountain man poopers, plank jacks, side lunges, one legged squats, goofballs, and probably more. Modes of transports included broad-jump burpees, bear crawls, backward crab crawls, forward crab crawls, Bernies, sprints, one foot hops forward, one foot hops backwards, lunge walks, scout lunge walks, skipping, plank drags, simple moseys, and probably more.
Moleskin: I challenged PAX to try to do something nice for the M without them having to ask (nag) you to do it. I ended up working in the garden with my M for a few hours today.
